The balance is always a difficult one to maintain. Upped the materials or the craftsmanship too much and they will eat into your profit margin. Lowered them and you’ll alienate your core customers. But somehow, CEOs Edwin Faeh and Toby Jerman have hit all the right note with their Pointer brand. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the footwear label will be issuing more of its rugged yet casual silhouettes in addition to a collaboration series with UK’s Knight Mills. Created by artist Sacha Knight, the Indian blanket-like patterns and wilderness prints on Knight’s designs refer to her Welsh/American heritage. The “Falling Feathers” print also highlights four of Pointer’s popular models, A.F.D., Soma, Benson, and Willard Boot. Along with a special 10th anniversary pack, these and other Fall/Winter 2014 Collection from Pointer will be in stores starting late August of this year.
