Levi’s RED is back after a seven-years absence, unrolling a Spring/Summer 2014 collection entitled Lined RED. Its inspiration is drawn from Levi’s long history — dating back to 1879 — of lining many of the brand’s denim styles with unique fabrications, including cleanly finished blanket fabrics or sheep’s wool. The collection also displays a playful approach to fit, construction and detailing, with silhouettes taking on oversized proportions for jeans, tees and popover woven shirts. The loose fits are based on early Levi’s jeans patterns from the 1870s and 1880s, when waist overalls constituted the everyday workwear of the American West.
