This spring, Staple unveils a collection marked by dichotomy, uniting heritage and non-traditional patterns with sport. In the words of CEO and founder Jeff Staple, “The overall concept for the Spring line is ‘opposites attract.’ In nature, science, love and life, opposites seem to always find a way to come together.” The collision of the technical with the traditional features mesh nylons and antique patterned polyesters — including paisleys, toile and even asante — used alongside yarn-dyed jerseys and chambrays. There’s also a new collaboration with British artist Dave White, highlighted by a new take on the iconic Staple pigeon reinterpreted with White’s stylized brush strokes, as well as an additional artist collaboration with Jack Stocker, recognized for his minimal sneaker illustrations. Staple’s Spring 2014 collection will be available at retailers worldwide starting February 5th, 2014.
