Developed over the past four years, the Felino CB7 is the brainchild of Canadian racing driver Antoine Bessette. The supercar made its official world debut a couple of weeks ago at the 2014 Montreal Auto Show, featuring a 6.2-liter V-8 that drives the rear wheels and is connected to either a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed sequential unit. 525 horsepower and a body weight of just 2,500 pounds in a 50:50 weight distribution should result in impressive performance numbers. (Official figures have yet to be released but it’s estimated that a 0 to 62 mph sprint time will take around 3.5 seconds.) The chassis carries a front-midship design using independent suspension with double wishbones at both ends. Stopping power is provided by six piston brakes at the front and four-pistons at the rear, with standard 55mm steel discs or optional carbon ceramic discs. The car rides on 18-inch aluminum alloys. No official word yet, but pricing is expected to fall under $100,000 USD.
