With the unveiling of its 2015 4 Series Gran Coupe, BMW adds a hatchback to its growing lineup of 3- and 4-Series models. Essentially a standard coupe with an additional set of frameless doors grafted onto the body, the vehicle is both longer and wider — by about half an inch — compared to the current 3 Series sedan, but shorter in overall height by an inch and a half. A sloping roofline and lower stance give this true hatchback a sleep and attractive silhouette, completed in the back with a Gran Turismo-like power liftgate in lieu of a trunk. Power comes from either a 2.0-liter turbo four in the 428i with 240 horsepower, or a beefier 3.0-liter turbo six in the 435i with 300 horsepower.  The 2015 4-Series Gran Coupe is set to land in BMW dealerships in early summer.
