It is not an exaggeration to suggest that Jim Phillips helped to shape the way graphics were designed for skateboards. As an art director at Santa Cruz Skateboards from mid-70s, Phillips created unique graphics that influenced countless designers and artists even to this day. Levi’s is paying homage to the legendary illustrator by teaming up on a small collaboration collection. The line consists of Trucker Jacket, Trucker Vest, and two t-shirts. All of the garments are highlighted by artworks by Phillips, inspired by ’60s resort lifestyle in California. This collection is stocked at select Levi’s outlets around the world, such as size? online shop in UK and select brick-and-mortar stores.
