New Era Voodoo Collection for 2014 NBA All Star Game

Often mistaken for its Haitian counterpart, Louisiana Voodoo (also known as New Orleans Voodoo) helped to enrich the region’s unique culture since its introduction more than 200 years ago. Deemed to ward off misfortunes and evil, its practice thrived during the time of slavery and other periods of hardship. Now, its power might be call upon once again as 24 NBA players go head-to-head during the 2014 NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans. To help instill some positive energy to both athletes and fans, New Era just added the new Voodoo Collection to its Spring 2014 product line-up. In the forms of 59FIFTY Fitted caps, 9FIFTY Snapback caps, 9FORTY Strapback caps, tees and hoodies, all to have key voodoo symbolism from the element Mercury, a nod to speed and agility, to Steel, a form with association to strength. Some features an all-leather construct while others include glow-in-the-dark appliqué, the entire collection will be available starting tomorrow at New Era flagship store locations, select New Era retailers, and its online store. Meanwhile, look for New Era to host a few special event in New Orleans during the NBA All-Star Weekend next week.
