Audi has officially launched their new 2014 S1 and S1 Sportback, after previewing the new German-born toy earlier this year as it readied for the Geneva Motor Show. Both models begin a new flagship series for the Audi A1 line, with each packing a 2.0 TFSI engine linked up to a quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system, which pushes about 231HP and 370Nm of torque down to the wheels. This combined engine and drivetrain send the S1 and S1 Sportback to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 155mph with an average fuel consumption of 33.6 MPG. For the driver, both models also have electromechanical power steering, a new four-link suspension system, and a range of settings the driver can choose to customize the car’s response. The four new exterior colors continue inside to the cabin accenting the black color scheme, which can be bolstered with an optional infotainment system and Bose surround sound. Both the 2014 Audi S1 and S1 Sportback will hit dealers in Germany first during the second quarter of 2014 with pricing beginning at €29,950 and €30,800 respectively.
