When it comes to technical sportswear that doesn’t sacrifice an ounce of style or performance, you must be talking about Nike and Japanese designer Jun Takahashi’s on-going collaboration, and the Undercover Gyakusou apparel releasing for Spring 2014 is no different. For this season, the duo work together to present a visual and textile take on the yin-yang concept, using contrasting materials and colors to help demonstrate the on-going battle athletes also have between their mind and body. Among the unique features is the latest in Nike’s Sweat Map ventilation to help runners stay cool, seen in the Jacket, Dri-FIT 3/4 Top, and Dri-FIT Tank as well as the Dri-FIT S/S Top for women. The on-going battle also plays out in the colorblocking, gradation, and text, where natural hues blend with urban grays and bold prints share space with neutral colors. Along with a complementary line-up of footwear, the Nike x Undercover Gyakusou Spring 2014 Collection launches globally on March 1st.
