Daiki Suzuki and his Engineered Garments brand have cultivated an increasingly expansive following over the years thanks to an obvious level of craftsmanship and attention to detail, but it’s also the degree of difficulty built into some of the the brand’s pieces that have drawn guys looking for something different. After all, leopard print trousers and tweed jumpsuits — just two of the standout pieces from Engineered Garments’ Fall/Winter 2014 range — require a fully developed sense of personal style if they’re to be worn with any kind of elan. The seasonal lookbook showcases the brand’s typical dandy-ish workwear aesthetic, with a color palette full of earth tones suitable for fall. Layering is a strong theme here, in which textures and patterns are mixed and matched with heavy-soled boots and leather oxfords for a distinctly utilitarian vibe.
