In addition to the Korean tech brand’s flagship Galaxy S5 and Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches, Samsung took to the Mobile World Congress trade shown in Barcelona, Spain, to unveil the Gear Fit, a wearable device that’s half fitness tracker and half smartwatch. It sports a curved Super AMOLED touchscreen display measuring 1.84 inches and weighs in at just 27 grams, or half the weight of the Gear Neo. Features include a built-in Gyrocope, accelerometer, and heart rate monitor, as well as additional tools to measure a variety of fitness metrics, including a pedometer, stopwatch and timer. Additionally, the Gear Fit keeps wearers up to date with instant notifications from Galaxy smartphones signalling incoming calls, emails, SMS, alarm, S-planner and 3rd party apps. Finally, a 210 mAh battery is good for 3 to 4 days of battery life.
