Reebok Banner Question – Allen Iverson’s Jersey Retirement Edition

By - February 27th, 2014

This coming Saturday, March 1st, the Philadelphia 76ers organization will retire shooting guard Allen Iverson‘s No.3 jersey. An 11-time NBA All-Star, Iverson started his professional career in basketball as the first overall, first round pick by the 76ers during the 1996 NBA Draft. The effects on the team culminate some four years later when Iverson led the 76ers to the 2001 NBA Finals, their first Finals appearance since 1983.

As the banner with Iverson’s name and number hangs high above the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Reebok and its Reebok Classic division will be preparing a special signature footwear for the occasion. Named the Reebok Banner Question, the mid-top design not only denotes Iverson’s very first signature footwear but the red, white and blue color scheme of the 76ers. In layers of perforated leather, nubuck, suede, mesh and Hexalite, only 1996 numbered pairs will be available for purchase on Friday, March 14th.
