2015 Audi TT

By - March 3rd, 2014

Until the formal introductions are made at the Geneva Motor Show, these newly revealed official images are the best looks we’ve gotten yet of the 2015 Audi TT. The re-design is evident in the new grille, headlamps, taillamps, and C-pillar window, but these revamped elements aren’t indicative of a mere refresh of the third-generation two-seater. Rather, this is an entirely different car based on the VW Group’s new MQB platform, which is over 50 kg (110 lbs) lighter and weighs in at a curb weight of 1,230 kg (2,711 lbs) for the 2.0 TFSI model. Speaking of which, the 2.0 TFSI models produces 230 horsepower and 272 lb-ft of torque, which can be delivered to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, or through a six-speed dual-clutch S-Tronic to drive the Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The base model, on the other hand, packs a 2.0-liter TDI four-cylinder with standard manual shift and front-wheel drive, ultimately good for 184 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. On the other end of the spectrum, the TTS will deliver 310 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, which has six-speed manual transmission available as standard. The 2015 Audi TT debuts tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show.
