By now, anyone who’s even tangentially aware of quality menswear should know something about Barbour. The historic UK brand has been making its signature waxed cotton outerwear since 1894, and in recent years Barbour has been remade as a weather-fighting option apart from the gentleman hunter set. Queen Elizabeth II has granted Barbour three royal warrants and often wears the brand’s outerwear herself, but the iconic Bedale Jacket is now available through retailers like J.Crew and Club Monaco. Next up for the heritage brand is a collaborative venture with adidas Originals, set for a Fall/Winter 2014 launch and sure to confer even more exposure to a label wholly deserving of it. Stay tuned for details.
