The reveal of the Honda Civic Type R Concept last week at the Geneva Motor Show shook things up, especially since much was leaked and rumored about its release. Now a similar, sporty treatment can be found on the Honda Civic Si Coupe, a stalwart of their reign in the compact car niche, which sees a facelift for 2014 that also gives it more of a youthful feel. The changes begin with a new front bumper, rear diffuser, and spoiler as well as a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, many advanced functions are stock, including push-button ignition, Smart Entry, Honda LaneWatch, and a Display Audio system with a 7-in touchscreen. The new 2014 is powered by a 2.4-liter i-VTEC four cylinder engine that is connected to a new exhaust system to produce 205 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. This year’s edition will hit dealers beginning this week with prices beginning at $22,790.
