In 1994 and during the height of an economic recession, entrepreneur James Jebbia took a leap of faith with the opening of Supreme on NYC’s Lafayette Street. Same then as it is now, its central theme never wavered from local skateboarders’ “who gives a f@uck” attitude, something that’s quite evident in “cherry”, Supreme’s first full-length skateboard video. Directed by long-time collaborator William Strobeck, the video includes family and friends of the shop such as Jason Dill, Alex Olson, Dylan Rieder, Mark Gonzales, Tyshawn Jones, Sage Elsesser, Sean Pablo, plus Nakel Smith, Kevin Bradley, Aidan Mackey and Paulo Diaz. At about 38 minutes in length, the DVD pack also comes with a photo book that documented behind-the-scenes images. All to be available starting this Thursday, March 20th, at Supreme’s New York and Los Angeles retail locations, as well as its online store.
