Porsche Unveils Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS

While the closest that many of us will ever get to their 919 Hybrid tuned for the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans may just be posters hung in our garage, Porsche has just introduced two new versions of their powerful and quick mid-engine models, the Boxster GTS and the Cayman GTS, that we can get behind as soon as later this year. The GTS stands for Gran Turismo Sport, which are enhancements to the S models of each that have been optimized to now produce an extra 15 hp and 10 ft/lb of torque, bringing their totals to 330 hp for the Boxster and 340 for the Cayman. Both also come with Porsche’s new Sports Chrono package standard along with adjustable suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels, and blacked-out headlight surrounds. Aside from the new top speeds of 175mph and 177mph, you’ll find refreshed front and rear bumpers and a cabin newly fitted with sports seats covered with leather and Alcantara. While we do have plenty of action shots, one thing we don’t have are specifics on pricing and availability, which are both expected to be released in the coming weeks.
