When the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team takes to the field in Brazil this year, they’ll sport a new away kit by Nike, featuring a jersey with a modern crewneck collar and three bands across the body representing the colors of the American flag. Inside the back of the neck is a pennant tab featuring thirteen red and white stripes, denoting the original thirteen colonies that declared independence and formed the first states. The red shorts, meanwhile, are cut slim and tailored to the body, while still designed to aid movement and comfort. The center back of the shorts features Nike’s signature laser vents to aid in cooling and allow for moisture management. The kit is constructed with a combination of Nike Dri-FIT Technology, “burnout” mesh and laser-cut ventilation holes, allowing for localized cooling where players need it most. Check out the away kit modeled by athletes and entertainers alike in the gallery below. The familiar faces include: Clint Dempsey, Sydney Leroux, Spike Lee, Eric Koston, Andrew Luck, Allyson Felix, Ndamukong Suh, Diplo, Sean Malto, Alexi Lalas and Haim.
