Sneaker Con Washington DC/DMV – April 2014 | Event Recap

By - April 7th, 2014

Nearly broke the attendance record set by Sneaker Con NYC last year, fans by the thousands rushed over to Saturday’s Sneaker Con event in Washington DC. To alleviate the line-up and wait time, organizers decided to move the venue this season to the cavernous Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex within FedExField. Even so, hundreds lined up early just so they could snatch up some of the most sought-after kicks and hard to find classics. Along with a myriad of Air Jordans, LeBrons and KDs, plenty of Air Max and adidas ZX Flux made appearances as well. But the event’s centerpiece was the Ace of Customs, where the best sneaker customizers from the DMV area duked it out for the best of show title. Next stop for the SC crew will a return to California as they host their first ever venue in San Francisco/Bay Area. The event will take place this coming Saturday, April 12th, at Craneway Pavilion on 1414 Harbour Way South. To order your tickets now, visit Eventbrite for more information.
