LOSERS Schooler Classic Hi “Welfare”

By - April 10th, 2014

LOSERS Schooler Classic Hi WelfareLOSERS gave us a glimpse of various versions of the Schooler Classic Hi in their Spring/Summer 2014 collection catalog. Here is the detailed look at one of the models from the Custom Made category. The Welfare is obviously inspired by military aesthetics, yet those familiar with Japanese culture might notice its influence from uwabaki, a special shoe worn indoors. The fully covered rubber toecap reflects the typical aesthetics of uwabaki, since shoes are not worn indoors. On the ankle of these sneakers is the intricate embroidery of a spider and their slogan “Stick To Your Guns”, mimicking a vintage military embroidery style. Camouflage and khaki versions are available, both featuring gum soles and matching shoelaces. Head over to your nearest LOSERS stockist, such as mita sneakers in Tokyo.
