Scheduled to debut at the New York Auto Show next week is the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible, featuring many of the same features as the Corvette Z06 Coupe. That means one can expect the same supercharged 6.2 liter LT4 V8 packing at least 625 horsepower and 635 pound feet of torque, mated to a seven-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox. The item on the spec sheet that should raise eyebrows is the vehicle’s curb weight, which is largely unchanged thanks to advances in manufacturing and technology developed just five years ago. Additional details include available steel or carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes and a track-ready suspension with a specially tuned version of GM’s Magnetic Ride Control. Check out more looks below.
