Last Saturday night, designer Alexander Wang hosted a party a few miles away from the Coachella music festival in Indio. Considering the invitations were for an “H&M Loves Music” event, attendees naturally expected some sort of Coachella off-shoot, but it turned out the occasion was set up to announce an upcoming collaboration between Wang and H&M. The collection, set to launch November 6th, will represent the first joint venture between the American designer and the Swedish retailer, while also marking the 10th anniversary of H&M’s designer collaborations. As for the party, DJ Jesse Marco kicked off the celebration that featured a surprise performance by rapper Iggy Azalea, along with DJ sets by Major Lazer and Just Blaze.
