For some, life begins when the blacktop ends and for that particular breed of man, there’s this new ICON D90 Land Rover. Building on their previous rock-crushing, mud-stomping beasts like the Matte Black Toyota FJ44, the SoCal-based team at Icon gives one of the most legendary off-road vehicles of all-time a classic mod that would get the hearts of gear heads from all walks of life pumping on all cylinders. Built upon the base of a 1995 Defender 90, a GM 6.2-liter LS3 small-block V8 was dropped in, which was specially tuned by Icon, with aluminum and powder-metal-everything supporting a 4-speed automatic gearbox. This LR also sits atop 17-inch wheels, is fitted with a custom brake kit with six-piston front calipers to help prevent you from getting in a tight jam, and also comes with LED lights, and new interior accessories. Like all ICON rides, this one was hand-made and is limited in number.
