The latest from Land Rover isn’t just a concept, it is a “Vision.” And when you are doing something this big, you can’t just have a normal unsheathing of a cover; you need to have a glitzy, advanced event to match. Their choice? Launching their new Discovery Vision Concept on the deck of the USS Intrepid at the Sea, Air & Space Museum in the Hudson River in New York City, which is a fitting delivery ahead of the New York Auto Show. In addition to introducing the car, Land Rover and Richard Branson’s commercial spaceline, Virgin Galactic, announced a new long-term partnership, bringing together two innovative brands and justifying the arrival of the VSS Enterprise suborbital spacecraft. The car it loaded with the innovative equipment, including Gesture Control, Remote Control Drive, laser headlights, Smart Glass, Laser Terrain Scanning and Transparent Bonnet. All of the tech may not make it to the future concept cars, but there is a lot to be excited about. Learn more in the images after the jump and expect more from these two brands.
