For Summer 2014, Los Angeles-based streetwear mainstay The Hundreds channels the 1990s by examining the decade’s “nuances and fringes.” Eschewing the obvious grunge and gangster rap touchstones of that bygone era, the designs call to mind the suburban idyll of youth, featuring snail-like dial-up connections and Magic Eye posters. Lenticular art is a prevailing theme here, showcased alongside additional ’90s motifs like acid wash denim and loud, clashing hues. The assortment is the brand’s most diverse yet, made up of mixed twill woven shirts and various graphic tees, plus a wide range of cut and sewn items and accessories. Look for the collection to launch tomorrow through The Hundreds’ flagship locations, authorized stockists and online.
