For all their accolades on speed and agility, BMW also would like to be known for the safety of their cars. To help drive the point home, here’s another safety car: the BMW M4 Coupe DTM Safety Car for the 2014 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) season. Making its official debut later this summer on the Nurburgring, this version is based on the production M4 Coupe, which is powered by a 3.0-liter straight-six M TwinPower Turbo engine with 431 horses and 550Nm of torque that is enough to launch it to 62mph in 4.1 seconds. In addition, this version has been treated to a full range of M Performance parts, including an exhaust silencer, full body kit, and a roll cage and racing seats, just in case some Fast and Furious action hits. See more angles at BMW’s latest entrant and expect to see more looks following its August 17 release.
