Rezvani Beast

Aptly named the Beast, this supercar from Rezvani Motors — an automotive startup based in Irvine, California — is capable of hitting a speed of 60 miles per hour in just 2.9 seconds. It’s a feat achieved by the entry-level Beast 300, weighing in at 1,470 pounds and packing a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, good for 315 horsepower. The Beast 500, meanwhile, tips the scales at 1,550 pounds and boasts a supercharged 2.4-liter that develops up to 500 horsepower. Both high-output engines are built by DDMWorks, a company that specializes in the Ariel Atom, but unlike that stripped-down track car, the Beast is built for the road, featuring a full carbon fiber body and removable windshield. Pricing starts at $99,500 for the first two examples of the Beast 300 Launch Edition, after which standard pricing increases to $119,000. The Beast 500 launches at $124,900, then later rises to $139,000. Ariel Atom, owners, meanwhile, can upgrade their car to Beast specifications for $49,000 (for the Beast 300) or $69,000 (Beast 500).
