Just think: the BMW M5 has been around for 30 years. Three decades. That’s older than many of you out there. So, what’s behind all that staying power? It’s got to be the sheer speed and style of the iconic four-door. Set to be limited to a run of 300, the BMW M5 30 Jahre M5 (which translates to 30 years of the M5), builds on the performance gains developed over the years with a twin-turbocharged 4.4 direct-injected V8 that produces 592 horsepower and torque that swells to 516 lb-ft. All of these increases come as a result of tweaks to the engine computer and a new turbocharger that allows for more boost pressure, which drives the power through to the standard seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. This anniversary edition hits 62mph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 199mph while also claiming a 28.5 miles per gallon. The design is finished with a matte silver metallic body complemented with chrome accents and 30 Jahre badges.
