Akira Tamaki, a shop owner and collector from Japan, refers to the original Baracuta G9 Harrington “as the coolest jacket style ever.” Upon falling in love with the iconic garment after spying the unknown jacket with a plaid lining in the pages of a magazine, Tamaki went on to amass an impressive collection — now owned by Baracuta — containing roughly 77 years worth of original Harringtons. Tamaki likens the jacket to the Levi’s 501, with its long history filled with minor tweaks and adjustments, even as the essence and spirit of the garment remains the same. Check out the story below.
