Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection

Rolls-Royce has pulled the wraps off its special-edition Phantom Drophead Coupe, designed to commemorate Sir Malcolm Campbell’s achievement of setting the world waterspeed record in his Rolls-Royce-powered Bluebird K3 boat. Dubbed the Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection, the car features an exceedingly handsome exterior in Maggiore Blue, named after the lake where the record was set and finished using nine layers of paint. The eye-catching hue also adorns the vehicle’s 11-spoke wheels, two-tone steering wheel and interior trim. Additional special details include a brushed steel tonneau cover, hand-engraved door sills and armrest accents and Abachi wood dash accents. No performance-related upgrades mean that the powertrain contains a 453-horsepower 6.75-liter V-12, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
