Earlier this month, Dutch DJ Nick van de Wall, better known to his fans as http://afrojack.com/” target=”_blank”>Afrojack, took over the http://alifenewyork.com/” target=”_blank”>ALIFE courtyard to officially launch the 2014 ALIFE Sessions. While the performance represented a radical departure from previous hip hop-themed shows — featuring the likes of http://freshnessmag.com/2014/03/05/alife-sessions-presents-schoolboy-q-video/” target=”_blank”>Schoolboy Q, http://freshnessmag.com/2013/10/01/alife-sessions-presents-drake-nothin-was-the-same/” target=”_blank”>Drake and http://freshnessmag.com/2013/07/16/alife-courtyard-session-jadakiss-live-video/” target=”_blank”>Jadakiss — the packed house was an indication of the growing stature of a figure literally towering over the EDM landscape. The six-foot-seven Dutchman was in New York to promote his latest album Forget the World, which released yesterday and features anthemic tracks and a number of high-profile guest vocalists.
