Under its premium First String imprint, Converse is teaming up a second time with French design house Maison Martin Margiela, once again featuring an All Star Chuck ’70 and Jack Purcell finished in a unique white overpaint. Unlike round 1, the kicks are constructed with a leather upper, which will eventually emerge as the overpaint cracks and loosens with wear, revealing the bold colors underneath. The original heritage colorways, mined from the Converse archives, take the form of Amber Glow and True Navy on the Converse All Star Chuck ’70, along with Azure Blue and Biking Red on the Converse Jack Purcell. A Maison Martin Margiela logo on the tongue completes the look. Expect the collection to launch May 23rd at Converse San Francisco, Santa Monica and Soho stores, Maison Martin Margiela stores, and select Converse First String retailers.

Release Date: May 23, 2014 (Friday)
