MINI Superleggera Vision Concept

A special one-off meant to showcase the automotive imagination of http://mini.com/” target=”_blank”>MINI‘s design team, the MINI Superleggera Vision is a handcrafted open-top two-seater that’s set to make its world premiere at this weekend’s http://concorsodeleganzavilladeste.com/” target=”_blank”>Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este, set on the shores of Lake Como in Italy. The car is the result of a unique collaboration between MINI Design and the Milan-based coach building company http://touringsuperleggera.eu/” target=”_blank”>Touring Superleggera, featuring classic MINI design notes like a hexagonal shaped grille, oval shaped headlamps, contoured hood stripes and multi-spoke wheels. They combine with unique elements — including a carbon fiber splitter up front, frameless wraparound windscreen, Union Jack LED light clusters and a trunk-attached tail fin — to form a concept vehicle that blends traditional coachwork with modern design. MINI hasn’t shared any information about the powrtrain, but it’s thought to be borrowed from the electric MINI E. Check out an introductory video below.
