In a pair of pale blue New Balance 998 from the recent “National Parks” pack, hip-hop artist Theophilus London performed several new materials from his upcoming album VIBEZZ during last night’s preview event in New York City. Organized for members of media and special guests, the festivities also gave attendees first looks at the upcoming New Balance’s Made In USA line as well as the much talked about “Authors” Collection. With various classic New Balance models as its foundation, from the popular 996, 998 to the 997 and 1300, the Made In USA collection highlights the company’s commitment to retain the majority of its production process here in the US. In 2013 alone, 1 in 4 New Balance footwear sold were either made or assembled in its US factories. With collections like the “National Parks” and “Authors”, the Boston-based brand hopes to disseminate the pride to its customers of owning something made locally here in the USA. The New Balance Made In USA “National Parks” Collection is available in-store now, while the New Balance Made In USA “Authors” Collection will be arriving to retailers soon in the coming months.
