Nike Launches the Genealogy of Innovation

Inspired by the Geneology of Innovation exhibitions at http://nike.com/” target=”_blank”>Nike‘s Phenomenal House spaces in Paris, London and Berlin earlier this summer, the Genealogy of Innovation is now accessible as an immersive online experience, showcasing 40 years of Nike design, 30 years of sneaker culture and 20 years of Nike Football. Highlights include an in-depth study of 200 game-changing shoes and football boots from Nike’s vast archives, starting with the very first shoe to bear the Swoosh — “The Nike” football boot from 1971 — and concluding with Nike’s most recent t football boots, the Magista and Mercurial Superfly. There’s also a primer on how technologies developed across a range of sport performance shoes over the past 40 years have combined to shape today’s Nike football boot innovations.
