For Summer 2014, Boston retailer Bodega has teamed up with Fred Perry, one of the first brands ever to blend sportswear and street culture. The resulting joint venture takes the form of the Bodega 1934 sneaker, featuring a “Clay” colored nappy suede upper, accented by Bodega tongue branding and Fred Perry’s signature laurel leaf in red. The shoe is mounted on a contrasting black sole unit and features matching black along the lining and back heel collar. The limited-edition kicks come with a complimentary a tote bag, tennis balls, pin-set, and a silkscreen poster. Retail for the entire package goes for $145, with availability offered both in-store and online.
