At Paris Fashion Week, the Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 menswear collection featured apparel made for the “modern Maharajah,” according to designer Kim Jones. He dedicated the show to his late mentor, Louise Wilson, a former Central Saint Martins professor who had suggested that Jones make a pilgrimage to India last February. Consequently, the collection is informed with “that modern Indian cool,” featuring contemporary DB suits, military-inspired flight jackets and jumpsuits, and chinos and short-sleeved shirt combinations accessorized with decadent touches (one highlight: a shearling-lined leather guitar case). The color palette was dominated by neutral tones and the occasional pop of pink — considered the navy blue of India. Check out the presentation below.
