At Paris Fashion Week, the http://louisvuitton.com/” target=”_blank”>Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 menswear collection featured apparel made for the “modern Maharajah,” according to designer Kim Jones. He dedicated the show to his late mentor, Louise Wilson, a former Central Saint Martins professor who had suggested that Jones make a pilgrimage to India last February. Consequently, the collection is informed with “that modern Indian cool,” featuring contemporary DB suits, military-inspired flight jackets and jumpsuits, and chinos and short-sleeved shirt combinations accessorized with decadent touches (one highlight: a shearling-lined leather guitar case). The color palette was dominated by neutral tones and the occasional pop of pink — considered the navy blue of India. Check out the presentation below.
