Yohji Yamamoto took to Paris Fashion Week with a Spring/Summer 2015 collection that was impressively diverse — featuring looks that were casual, formal, avant-garde and refined — but distinctively Yohji. There were the Japanese designer’s signature quirks, including head scarves and randomly placed leather patches on military-inspired jackets, and a play on traditional proportions that found jacket buttons shifted to the side. A denim grouping gave the revitalized the time-worn material, used on pieces ranging from baggy gaucho pants and a large shawl.
