In the ebb between Market/Trade Show and Fashion Week in New York City, A.P.C. will be releasing its fall/winter collaborative line with Kanye West. A second and perhaps the final installment to the A.P.C. KANYE Collection, each of the designs continues on the guerrilla/militarism theme with olive drab as the lead colorway for the majority of outerwear. So too is the form, trimmed in reference to the classic MA-1 Flight Jacket and the M-65 Field Coat. It is all utilitarian, however, as West and A.P.C. creative director Jean Touitou augmented luxe elements such as mink/fox furs into the silhouettes. Where as the outerwear portion extrudes a sense of formalness, the rest of the collection is very much in reference to A.P.C.’s Parisian Cool style. Though the colors are primary off-white, navy and olive drab still, infusion of fabrics like chenille, French terry, and fleece give the collection another dimension.
The A.P.C. x Kanye West – Fall/Winter 2014 Collection will be available starting on Thursday, July 17th, via A.P.C. store locations worldwide.
