For Summer 2014, adidas Originals introduces the C-10, built for the street but featuring basketball DNA mined from hardcourt silhouettes like the Forum and Crazy 1. The primary design inspirations take the form of automobile design and cutting edge architecture, which blend with a fashion-forward aesthetic that sees angular lines throughout the tonal black upper — crafted from a mix of suede and patent leather — and a contrast white TPU midsole. Minimalist, evolved branding is embodied by the replacement of the signature three-stripes with a new strap execution, which conforms to the foot as it moves. A ZX 000 heel counter and midfoot eyelet piece round out the details. Look for the C-10 to launch through select adidas Originals retailers starting in August.
