It turns out the concept behind the new Nike Air Huarache Light “Atomic Mango” isn’t all that “new” after all. A derivative of the Nike Air Huarache Racer and its OG “Atomic Mango” colorway from 1994, the current Nike Air Huarache Light also has design elements from a more recent Nike Air Huarache Light Burst, one that was slated to launch in 2005 but never did. While all three models bear remarkable resemblance with one another, the trio is also a study of an evolution in design on how to make things better. Like the original two, the 2014 Nike Air Huarache Light features the same mesh/suede upper, overlay in Action Green colorway and EVA midsole. Nike designers sought to lessen the weight even more by introducing new materials into each of the parts. Thus, a shoe that is completely new yet outwardly the same. The Nike Air Huarache Light in “Atomic Mango” is available now at select Nike Sportswear retailers, including UK’s size? retail chain.
