On August 1st, http://puma.com” target=”_blank”>PUMA and fashion house http://alexandermcqueen.com” target=”_blank”>Alexander McQueen will debut a new collaborative collection for McQueen’s http://alexandermcqueen.com/us/mcq” target=”_blank”>McQ line. Expanding on the original concept which Alexander McQueen first started back in 2005, the new PUMA x McQ Collection embodies both a contemporary and non-conformist vision on sportswear.
“McQ reinterprets influences from global youth culture for a modern wardrobe whilst remaining true to the spirit of the house of McQueen. Sportswear has become an essential style status symbol on the streets of major cities around the world, so we’re very excited to be partnering with PUMA for this collection of trainers. The mixing of sportswear with high fashion defines much of modern style, so it felt right to partner with a brand with such a strong history of designer collaborations.” – Andy Rogers, Brand Director for PUMA
To be headed by House of McQueen’s current creative director, Sarah Burton, the line will be a merging point between a number of subcultures seen across the globe. Look for the first PUMA x McQ Collection to be available as part of the Fall/Winter 2014 product portfolio from PUMA.
