The Skully AR-1 motorcycle helmet is the first of its kind, offering heads-up display (HUD) with a 180-degree rear camera view, as well as navigation maps and turn indicators, music controls, weather alerts, and incoming call notifications via Bluetooth connection to your smartphone. The DOT-certified helmet can also make phone calls, send texts and even control music playback through voice command. Gizmodo was the first publication to experience the Skully AR-1 “in the real world,” which meant testing the heads-up display, rear view camera and the electrochromic shield, which transitions from clear to tinted with the simple push of a button. Check out a short video of the Skully AR-1 in action below, then head here to read the full hands-on review.
