The problem with wearable tech is that the designs we’ve seen thus far haven’t exactly inspired ready wearability. American designer Michael Bastian aims to change all that, teaming up with Hewlett-Packard to create a smartwatch that syncs up with an iOS and Android-compatible app, enabling the wearer to receive email/text message notifications or control music playback remotely. The watch is housed in a 44mm stainless steel case with three interchangeable watchbands, composed of black rubber, perforated brown leather and olive green nylon options. An all black limited-edition model will also be available. The Michael Bastian x Hewlett-Packard Smartwatch is set to launch this fall through Gilt.
