The rebirth of the adidas Stan Smith has seen a number of collaborations around the legendary silhouette, and an upcoming project has three top-tier retailers — Dover Street Market, Barneys and colette — presenting a minimalist take on the already spare design. The low-profile sneaker features a white premium leather upper with the signature perforated three-stripes appearing just on the medial sides. The only bit of exterior branding finds the Barneys and colette trademarks printed in gold foil on the tongue (the DSM version isn’t pictured), and unlike the previous colette joint venture from June 2014, this Stan Smith lacks the metal eyelets or reinforced heel tab. Look for the kicks to launch in September.
