Commemorating the first ever feature film of Japanese urban comic, Tokyo Tribe, which is set to open in Japan from end of this month, the makers of the film reached out to Timberland to create four custom 6-inch boots. The iconic work boot is heavily featured in the cartoon, as its main source of inspiration comes from hip-hop culture and urban lifestyle from New York City. Each shoe reflects the colors of main "tribes" in the story line, including SARU, WU-RONZ, and HANDS. Alongside the boots are original illustrations by Tokyo Tribe comic artist, Santa Inoue, depicting various characters wearing Timberland. Unfortunately, these boots are not for sale, but original versions can be made using their customizing program in stores. Check out these boots on display at Timberland flagship store in Aoyama, Isetan in Shinjuku, coppice in Kichijoji, and Marui in Ikebukuro, until Monday, September 15.
