After a prolonged absence, Japanese electronics giant http://sharpusa.com/ForHome/Mobile.aspx” target=”_blank”>Sharp is once again entering the U.S. mobile market, shipping the AQUOS Crystal Smartphone to our shores sometime in the near future. The device has decidedly mid-range specs — 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of storage (with MicroSD slot) and a 5-inch 720p display. What should attract prospective buyers is what surrounds the screen — or, more specifically, what doesn’t, as the handheld is virtually bezel-less. Aside from its striking appearance, the AQUOS Crystal runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and Sprint’s latest features, including HD voice, Wi-Fi calling, Harmon Kardon speakers and support for the faster Spark LTE network. Look for the device to launch here in the U.S. for Sprint, Boost Mobile and Virgin.
