With just under 23 million viewers, the final of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup between the United States and Japan shattered all previous TV ratings for soccer. One of the reasons for that historical showing is Carli Lloyd, who, over the course of 16 minutes, became a household name after scoring three goals in a heroic performance that lead her team to victory. Although her feat is marked in men's and women's soccer history books, the Swoosh also has recorded her achievement with a special edition Nike Mercurial Superfly "Leave Your Legacy" set of cleats, designed expressly for Lloyd with stars marking her tallies on the sockliner and ankle. The special-edition “Leave Your Legacy” boots will be worn by Lloyd on January 23 in San Diego, during the national team's next game while 20 other signed pairs will be distributed to lucky fans via @NikeSoccer on Twitter and Instagram.
