Seemingly out of nowhere, Nike announced the return of the cult-classic Nike Air Pressure, initially released in 1989 as the Swoosh's answer to the immensely popular Reebok Pump. If you're unfamiliar with the shoe, our sister site Sneaker News has shared a spate of images capturing an original pair of the Air Pressure from 1989. As you can see, time has not been kind to the sneaker artifact. While most of the shoe is intact, the collar on each shoe has dramatically crumbled, a development that has to be expected on kicks that have surpassed the quarter-century mark. What's especially interesting here is the original paraphernalia that's survived, including the plastic case -- with the original price tag still attached -- as well as the user's manual and pump apparatus. It'll be interesting to see how closely the new release mirrors the original.
