In addition to the smaller iPhone and iPad unveiled at yesterday's keynote in Cupertino, Apple addressed its dedication to recycling and reusing. An essential tool in that regard is Liam, a robot whose sole purpose is to disassemble old iPhones, sending individual components to a processing plant for recycling. Specifically, Liam removes cobalt and lithium from the battery, gold and copper from the camera, silver and platinum from the logic board and aluminum from the enclosure. Check out Liam in action in the accompanying video.
